Troy Campbell is a parent, advocate, licensed therapist, and fundamental rights activist who believes that commitment to a cause leads to purpose!

Troy brings over 20 years of experience in criminal justice, military, and security professional training to the team. His background includes serving on a tactical team, working in executive protection, and providing high-risk private security for clients.

Troy’s education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Master’s-level education in forensic psychology, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work. He is a licensed clinical trauma therapist and an All But Dissertation (ABD) doctoral-level researcher in human behavior and behavioral health.

Troy holds multiple instructor certifications in self-defense, firearms instruction, active shooter protection, private security, trauma and medical response, and concealed handgun certification. His credentials include certifications through the National Rifle Association (NRA), United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), Tom Givens’ RangeMaster, the State of New Mexico Department of Public Safety Concealed Carry Unit, and the State of New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department’s Private Investigations Advisory Board (see credentials below).

Born and raised in Southern California, Troy is both a personal and professional survivor of multiple incidents of interpersonal gun and criminal violence. His firsthand experiences have given him deep insight into the necessity of self-defense.

For years, he has worked directly with communities as a mentor, coach, and advocate, addressing violent crime through community education, outreach, suicide prevention, trauma-informed behavioral health education, and legislative advocacy. A major focus of his work is reducing victimization by educating and training individuals in self-defense laws, situational awareness, body language and pre-assault indicators, communication skills, crisis and conflict de-escalation, lawful use of force (both lethal and non-lethal), firearms tactics, improvised weapons, and empty-hand defense.

Troy specializes in trauma-informed training, recognizing that every individual brings a unique life experience to personal survival. He believes that self-defense education must honor each person’s background, including the way they learn to protect themselves and others.

In 2018, Troy combined his knowledge, skills, personal experiences, education, and certifications with his passion for training others in psychological fitness, personal survival, physical fitness, tactical fitness, and personal defense and founded Time 4 Change, LLC. In 2020, he expanded his mission by launching Core Concepts Tactical Defense to further empower individuals in self-defense and personal protection.
Troy currently holds over 10 firearm instructor certifications across three different organizations. He also has several additional certifications related to safety, security, and self-defense that are not directly firearm-based.

Evan McAllister is a parent who believes in being his family’s first responder and takes that responsibility seriously.

Evan began his journey in 2022 by attending one of Indigenous Arms’ first concealed carry classes. Shortly after the birth of his first son, he wanted to ensure he had the skills and knowledge to protect his family. He then took Troy’s NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) course and began assisting Indigenous Arms with concealed carry classes.

"One of the best ways to continue learning is through teaching," he said, which led him to complete his USCCA Concealed Carry and USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals Instructor certifications. Since then, he has continued his education by completing multiple instructor courses and adding to his certifications.

Obtaining his CCW permit was only the beginning of his journey. Evan strives to become the best instructor he can be, always learning something new in each class he teaches. "The moment someone thinks they know everything is the moment they stop learning."

Through repetition, consistency, and building good habits, he aims to help create knowledgeable and responsible gun owners.
